Instead of receiving costly medal awards at end of the year, the club and our school donated the cost ($50) to the University of Alberta Burn Unit on behalf of the local Firefighters, in appreciation of their help with our school fires this spring, recognizing that some children are not as lucky as we were with our fires

Our big excitement was
receiving the
Distinguished Youth Citizenship Award of Wood Buffalo Award.
Here Ms Cochrane accepts it on behalf of the Global Club
from City Councilor/teacher John Vibogh.
